Sheet music to Roblox piano converter

Paste note names or drop in a MIDI file and get the letters for the Roblox piano, in the Virtual Piano layout. It runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.

Upload your sheet music and it reads the notes straight out of the engraving. Works with PDFs exported from MuseScore, Finale, Dorico or Sibelius; a scanned photo of a page will not work.

Or write the notes with their octave: C4, F#3, Bb5. Put a chord in brackets: [C4 E4 G4]. A | marks a bar line. No octave means octave 4.

What the letters mean

The Roblox piano uses the Virtual Piano layout: 61 keys from C2 to C7. The white keys are the number row and the letter rows, and the black keys are the same characters with Shift. Middle C is t.

Uploading your own sheet music

Drop in the PDF of a piece and the converter reads the notes out of the engraving itself. It does not guess from a picture: it uses the music font, which follows a standard where the size of the font is the height of the staff and each clef is drawn on a known line, so the vertical position of every notehead gives its pitch. That means it works with PDFs exported from MuseScore, Finale, Dorico or Sibelius, and not with a scan or a photo of a printed page.

A MIDI file works too, and if you have one it is the better option: MIDI carries the rhythm as well, so the spacing comes out closer to the real thing.

What it cannot do

Virtual Piano notation has no note lengths, so the rhythm is only suggested by the spacing. Anything below C2 or above C7 gets moved by an octave to fit the keyboard, and you can turn that off if you would rather see what falls outside.
