Find the key
of any track
Drop in an audio file and get the key, the notes of that scale, the key signature and a rough tempo. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read and analysed on your own machine and never leaves it.
What key is this in?
MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG. Three seconds is enough; a minute is better.

And how much to trust it
The tool splits the audio into short frames, measures how much energy lands on each of the twelve notes, and compares that fingerprint against the twenty-four major and minor profiles measured by Krumhansl and Kessler. The closest match wins.
- โSolo piano, a single instrument or a clean melody: usually right.
- โA full mix with drums and bass: usually right, sometimes picks the relative major or minor instead.
- โA piece that changes key halfway: it will report whichever key dominates.
- โAmbient or drone music with no clear tonic: treat the answer as a guess.
The tempo is the weakest part. Any tempo can be heard at half or double speed, so the tool shows all three and lets you pick. Slow anime ballads often read as twice their real speed.
Now that you know the key
If you were working out an anime piece by ear, the key tells you which black notes you will be living on. If the piece is one of ours, the arrangement is already written: browse the catalogue, pick by level, or ask for the one you cannot find. You can also turn a score into Roblox letters with the Roblox converter.
