A Japanese electronic musician and founder of the band P-Model. Kentaro Miura, who was a fan of his work, asked him to score the 1997 Berserk anime. He also scored Satoshi Kon's Millennium Actress, Paranoia Agent and Paprika.

What they wrote

Hirasawa does not write anime music so much as import his own world into it. Transcribing him for piano means choosing which of the layers is the actual melody, and that choice is the arrangement.
